NO KINGS: No One Cares

MARXISM ... was voted out in 2024. No Kings tell on themselves with this in their What's Next Tab >>> "The road ahead isn’t just about one protest or one day. It’s about building a movement powerful enough to win against authoritarian forces dead set on destroying our democracy.

We’re inspired by the 3.5% principle: it only takes 3.5% of the population engaging in sustained, strategic protest against authoritarianism to achieve significant political change. Everything we do from here on out is grounded in three core commitments: staying in the fight, taking concrete action today, and investing in the long-term."

What our country really needs is accountability as we have with a duly elected Chief Executive by a modern day landslide as opposed to someone who was presumably elected during a time when election rally audiences were limited to circles by one candidate and nearly every legal and policy order was signed by a machine. Image Credit: FJB (2025)

AI Search on X's GROK - NO KINGS Address & Phone Number:

The "No Kings" movement, as referenced in recent web content, does not provide a specific physical address or phone number for general contact. It appears to be a decentralized protest movement with events organized across various locations, primarily focused on June 14, 2025, to oppose authoritarianism and President Donald Trump's policies. Their main website, www.nokings.org, does not list a central office address or phone number but offers an RSVP form for events, such as the flagship march in Philadelphia, and encourages local mobilizations in various states like Virginia and Maryland.

NO KINGS had nothing to say about the previous four years of an "AutoPen" stolen election presidency of the Democrat Political Party - followed by a no vote primary candidate through a Political Party Leadership coup - nothing says more about being an actual Kingdom than this process.

They know that they are the marginal in American society and will do anything to gain attention and chaos - we, at MAXINE, say do not listen.

UPDATE:
The trial weekend in the call to protest action did not go as well as all of the planning by every Democrat run labor union, Climate Change/Global Warming lobbying organization, Big Education Teachers Associations and etc. would suggest.

This excerpted and edited from The Blaze -

Over 98% of Americans ignore No Kings' tired tantrum
Candace Hathaway - June 16, 2025

98% of Americans went on with their lives, while a small minority participated in No Kings.

Backed by nearly 200 groups with billions of dollars in collective resources, the No Kings protests on June 14 aimed to reignite defeated Democrats by mobilizing them against President Donald Trump. Yet, the rallies fell flat, with over 98% of Americans staying home, revealing a discouraged progressive base struggling to find footing.

No Kings' organizers touted the nationwide rallies as a triumph, celebrating a turnout of about five million, according to the unconfirmed best estimates of the American Civil Liberties Union.

However, against the backdrop of such immense investments, the attendance revealed the left's widespread protest fatigue and lack of direction, with most Americans paying little attention to the gatherings.

No Kings aims to mobilize 3.5% of the U.S. population. However, its well-funded and meticulously organized Saturday protests reached just under 1.5% by its own estimates.

"We're inspired by the 3.5% principle: It only takes 3.5% of the population engaging in sustained, strategic protest against authoritarianism to achieve significant political change. Everything we do from here on out is grounded in three core commitments: staying in the fight, taking concrete action today, and investing in the long-term," the No Kings website reads.

The ACLU, one of the No Kings' many sponsors, hailed the rallies as a success, noting that it was the "largest mass mobilization since President Trump's return to office," with 2,100 rallies held across the nation.

ACLU Chief Political & Advocacy Officer Deirdre Schifeling stated, "Today's protests are a resounding message that people across the nation will not be intimidated by President Trump's fear tactics."

Again, never one word by these Marxist organizations during the previous four years when our country had no real understandable leadership based in individual freedom that anyone could point to - especially given that the primary real POTUS was an AutoPen.

So? ... STFU!

In-N-Out Has America’s Favorite Fast Service Food Fries

As a Southern Californian, one's options for fast service food fries mostly come down to In-N-Out, Shake Shack, Chick-fil-A, and Arby’s, since those are the chains with locations in the Southland. So, it’s no surprise that In-N-Out’s fries, cut fresh daily, took the top spot in a new analysis of over 40,000 Yelp reviews, earning a 3.86 out of 5. That’s a big win for the West Coast favorite, especially since you’re not likely to come across fries from chains like Bojangles or Freddy’s around here.

Shake Shack, another local option, came in second with a solid 3.7 rating, while Chick-fil-A’s waffle fries, a familiar sight in SoCal, landed fifth at 3.4, lauded for their crispiness and sauce-dipping potential. Arby’s, also in the region, scored lower at 2.89, sitting at eighth place.

The study, put together by Seating Masters, looked at 25 locations per chain and showed that In-N-Out’s fresh-cut approach outshone bigger national chains. For context, McDonald’s and Burger King, which you might spot elsewhere, ranked near the bottom with 1.91 and 1.92 averages, respectively, while KFC’s fries tanked at 1.77. Chains like Raising Cane’s and Zaxby’s, which aren’t common in Southern California, also made the top 10, but you’d be hard-pressed to try them locally.

Here’s the top 10 from the data:

In-N-Out Burger – 3.86

Shake Shack – 3.7

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers – 3.59

Bojangles – 3.51

Chick-fil-A – 3.4

Raising Cane’s – 3.24

Zaxby’s – 2.98

Arby’s – 2.89

Hardee’s – 2.86

Checkers/Rally’s – 2.84

We, at MAXINE, believe that for us SoCal folks, it’s clear In-N-Out, Shake Shack, and Chick-fil-A are holding down the fort for fry quality options, while Arby’s lags a bit behind.

Freshness and smaller menus seem to be the key on how our continual favorite always seems to top the list, giving our local Baldwin Park In-N-Out an edge over the mass-produced national competition.

ACT Expo 2025: Ai-Powered Self-Driving Semi-Trucks Steal The Show Amid Sustainable Mobility Debates

ACT Expo 2025: Ai-Powered Self-Driving Semi-Trucks Steal The Show Amid Sustainable Mobility Debates

The Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo, held April 28–May 1, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center, brought together over 12,000 attendees and 500+ exhibitors to explore the future of commercial transportation. Amid a packed agenda of keynote presentations, executive panels, and technical workshops, the spotlight fell on a transformative keynote addressing Ai-powered self-driving semi-trucks, with Penske Transportation Solutions’ Catalyst Ai platform emerging as a pivotal innovation. The event also revealed a palpable tension: a hesitancy among industry leaders navigating a government-directed market for sustainable mobility, contrasted with a strong push for free-market innovation.

Ai Self-Driving Semi-Trucks: A Leap Forward

The keynote on Ai self-driving semi-trucks captivated attendees, showcasing advancements in faster learning, expanded testing, and superior adaptability. Industry pioneers like Plus, a self-driving truck company, demonstrated how Ai systems enhance safety, reduce carbon emissions, and improve driver comfort for long-haul trucking. The keynote emphasized that Ai’s real-time data analysis and predictive capabilities are revolutionizing fleet management, with systems capable of adapting to complex road conditions and optimizing routes dynamically.

Penske Transportation Solutions’ Sherry Sanger, executive vice president of strategy and marketing (above), highlighted their Catalyst AI platform during a dedicated session. Catalyst AI leverages real-time comparative data from Penske’s database of hundreds of thousands of vehicles to optimize fleet performance, slashing decision-making timelines from weeks to minutes. This technology addresses critical industry challenges, including resource scarcity, digital transformation, and productivity imperatives, by providing actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

The Case for Ai in the Commercial Vehicle Industry

The arguments for Ai adoption in the commercial vehicle sector were compelling. Resource scarcity—particularly in energy, infrastructure, and skilled labor—demands smarter solutions. Ai mitigates these constraints by optimizing fuel usage, predicting maintenance needs, and reducing downtime, potentially saving the industry up to $627 billion annually by 2025 through predictive maintenance alone. Digital transformation is another driver, with Ai enabling seamless integration of vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication to improve traffic flow and safety.

Productivity imperatives further underscore Ai’s value. McKinsey & Company projects that Ai could boost automotive productivity by 1.3% annually through process optimization. Catalyst AI exemplifies this, empowering fleet managers to navigate supply chain disruptions and regulatory complexities with data-driven precision. As Sanger noted, “Ai is not just about automation—it’s about advancing how we work, serve, and inform.” This multidimensional approach positions Ai as a cornerstone of the industry’s future, from enhancing driver experiences to informing policy and infrastructure development.

Sustainable Mobility: A Contentious Landscape

Despite the enthusiasm for Ai, the Expo’s broader discussions on sustainable mobility revealed a cautious tone. Presentations covered a range of power options—battery-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, renewable diesel, and propane—reflecting the industry’s commitment to net-zero goals. However, a recurring theme was the industry’s unease with government-directed market interventions. Incentives and mandates, such as the EPA’s Phase 3 emissions standards for 2027–2032, have accelerated zero-emission vehicle adoption but sparked debate over their impact on free-market innovation.

Attendees expressed frustration with the “removal of enhancements”—a euphemism for subsidies and grants—that have historically propped up certain technologies. Erik Neandross, president of GNA (a TRC company), noted during a keynote that while clean technology announcements are “seemingly nonstop,” challenges like charging infrastructure gaps and high battery costs persist. This sentiment was echoed in a policy workshop moderated by Penske’s David Battisti, which explored how regulations shape sustainability efforts, often at the expense of market-driven solutions.

The State of Sustainable Fleets 2024 Market Brief, co-sponsored by Penske, Volvo Trucks North America, and Chevron, underscored these dynamics. It reported growth in electric, hydrogen, and renewable fuel adoption but highlighted a regulatory landscape complicating fleet planning. Drew Cullen, Penske’s senior vice president of fuels and facility services, emphasized that fleets are proactively adopting sustainable solutions, not merely reacting to mandates. Yet, the hesitancy in delivery suggested a fear: that overreliance on government “bribes” could stifle innovation and skew competition.

Balancing All Power Options

The Expo championed an “all power options on the forefront” approach, advocating for a technology-neutral path to sustainability. Battery-electric vehicles like the Freightliner eCascadia and Volvo VNR Electric were showcased, alongside hydrogen fuel cell trucks from Kenworth, Peterbilt, and Nikola. Renewable diesel, with production capacity projected to reach 5 billion gallons annually by 2025, also gained traction, particularly among government fleets.

However, the push for free-market introduction and development was unmistakable. Industry leaders argued that government mandates, while accelerating adoption, often favor specific technologies, sidelining others with potential. Ivet Taneva, Penske’s vice president of environmental affairs, moderated a session on carrier strategies to reduce emissions, stressing the need for flexible policies that allow fleets to choose the best solutions for their operations.

Cummings Fuel Agnostic

Looking Ahead: Ai as the Catalyst

As ACT Expo 2025 concluded, the convergence of Ai and sustainable mobility emerged as a defining theme. The event’s record-breaking attendance and robust exhibitor presence underscored the industry’s momentum. Posts on X captured the excitement, with one highlighting a “leap forward in autonomous trucking technology” showcased at the Expo.

Penske’s Catalyst AI, alongside innovations from companies like Plus and Tesla (whose Semi updates were discussed), signaled a future where AI not only drives trucks but reshapes the entire transportation ecosystem. Yet, the industry’s path forward hinges on balancing technological promise with market realities. By embracing all power options and prioritizing free-market innovation, the commercial vehicle sector can navigate resource constraints, regulatory pressures, and productivity demands—ensuring a sustainable, efficient, and autonomous future.

The hesitancy observed at ACT Expo 2025 was not rooted in uncertainty but in a collective resolve to chart a course where innovation, not intervention, leads the way. As Neandross aptly summed up, “The market has grown 1,000% over 30 years—growth is the word of the year.” With Ai as a catalyst, that growth shows no signs of slowing.

50th ACURA Grand Prix Of Long Beach Delivers On A Tradition Of Spectacle With FOREIGNER

Foreigner headlined the Saturday night concert at the 50th Anniversary Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 12, 2025, delivering a high-energy performance that complemented the motorsport festivities. The concert took place at 6:30 p.m. PT at the Terrace Theater Plaza, an outdoor stage in the heart of the Grand Prix’s vibrant atmosphere, and was free for all Saturday ticket holders, enhancing the weekend’s appeal for race fans. Below is a detailed overview of Foreigner’s appearance, the context of the event, and specifics about their performance, based on available information.

Context of the Event
The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, held April 11–13, 2025, celebrated its 50th anniversary as North America’s longest-running major street race, drawing approximately 190,000 fans over three days. The event featured the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Super Drift Challenge, Stadium Super Trucks, GT America, and a Historic Formula Exhibition showcasing Formula 5000, Formula 1, and IndyCar vehicles. Off-track attractions included a Lifestyle Expo, Family Fun Zone, food trucks, and concerts, with Foreigner’s performance serving as a centerpiece of the Saturday evening festivities. The Grand Prix, often called “America’s Fastest Beach Party,” is known for blending high-speed racing with entertainment, and Foreigner’s inclusion aligned with this tradition, especially given their own milestone approaching—50 years since their formation in 1976.

Foreigner’s Performance
Foreigner, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee (class of 2024), performed a setlist packed with their classic hits, including “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero,” and “Hot Blooded,” as highlighted in promotional materials. The band’s current touring lineup for the event consisted of:

• Kelly Hansen – Lead vocals, percussion
• Jeff Pilson – Bass, backing vocals, keyboards
• Michael Bluestein – Keyboards, keytar, backing vocals
• Bruce Watson – Lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals
• Chris Frazier – Drums, percussion
• Luis Maldonado – Rhythm and lead guitars, backing vocals, occasional lead vocals

Mick Jones, the band’s founder and lead guitarist, has not made appearances as a general rule due to Parkinson’s disease, diagnosed in 2024. The intensity and tone of this performance, however, did not miss a beat or tone inflection since this touring band covers the original FOREIGNER perfect in every note.

A standout moment was Foreigner’s collaboration with students from Jordan High School’s choir, who joined the band for “I Want to Know What Love Is.” Juan-Jose Garcia, the choir director, described the experience as unforgettable, noting the students’ exposure to “rock ‘n roll energy” and the recognition of their talent. This collaboration added a local community element, resonating with the packed crowd at Terrace Theater Plaza.

The performance was praised for its energy and connection with the audience. A Press Telegram report noted that the plaza was filled with fans showing their love for Foreigner, who reciprocated with a dynamic set. With over 80 million albums sold worldwide and more top 10 hits than peers like Aerosmith or Journey, Foreigner’s timeless appeal amplified the celebratory mood of the Grand Prix’s milestone weekend.

Additional Event Details
• Concert Access and VIP Perks: The concert was accessible to all Saturday ticket holders (general admission starting at $75), making it a significant draw for attendees. VIP packages, including a charity auction for the Road Racing Drivers Club, offered perks like a meet-and-greet with Foreigner, a four-night stay at the Hilton Long Beach, and access to the Seaside Suites for race viewing. The auction, which raised funds for the Mark Donohue Foundation and The Grand Prix Foundation of Long Beach, sold for $10,074.

• Event Atmosphere: The concert followed a day of racing, including INDYCAR qualifying (where Kyle Kirkwood secured pole position) and the IMSA SportsCar Grand Prix. The Terrace Theater Plaza’s outdoor setting, near the 1.968-mile street circuit, blended the roar of engines with rock music, creating a festive vibe. Kelly Hansen emphasized the band’s connection to motorsports, noting past performances at the Indy 500 and NASCAR events, and their Los Angeles-area roots, which made the Long Beach appearance particularly fitting.

• Organizers’ Perspective: Jim Michaelian, President and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach, described Foreigner’s performance as “electrifying,” stating it was the “perfect way to celebrate our fifty years of racing here in Long Beach.” The band’s set was seen as a bridge between generations, much like the Grand Prix’s appeal to both racing purists and casual fans.

Critical Notes
Foreigner’s performance was a highlight of the Grand Prix’s 50th anniversary, but the absence of Mick Jones likely tempered the experience for some longtime fans, given his foundational role.

The band’s reliance on Hansen and the current lineup, while polished and well-received, reflects their evolution into a modern iteration, which some critics view as less authentic without original members. Nonetheless, the inclusion of local students and the free concert access for ticket holders underscored Foreigner’s commitment to community engagement and fan accessibility, aligning with the Grand Prix’s community-driven ethos.

The event also highlighted logistical challenges, such as road closures and parking restrictions in downtown Long Beach, which attendees navigated to enjoy the racing and entertainment. The Grand Prix’s economic impact, estimated at nearly $100 million for the region, was bolstered by high-profile acts like Foreigner, drawing diverse crowds.

See Times Change, Like A Rollin' Stone, Through Bob Dylan At The Theater

See Times Change, Like A Rollin' Stone, Through Bob Dylan At The Theater

Today, Joseph Robinette Biden delivered his farewell speech from the Oval Office in the White House while he prepares to leave office on January 20, 2025. Also, today, we at MAXINE went to the multi-plex theater to watch the film presentation and biographical style documentary of the beginnings and rise of Bob Dylan as a song writer and performing musician starting when he blew into New York at the age of 19.

It is funny to have the reflection of a life lived during this time when Bob Dylan caught fire and became a cultural icon, have these memories become renewed, and recognize that the more things change, the more the cycle in a free society remains the same. Out with the very old and unhelpful leadership and policies and in with the new.

What really comes in as hot as a Santa Ana wind are the poetry and words of, and now proclaimed Christian, one Robert Allen Zimmerman (known worldwide as Bob Dylan), born on May 24th, 1941, penned during September and October after summer's end in 1963 after developing his career in New York when he arrived in 1961.

Both this movie, and the following song, drive home sentiments found through the lyrics and serve as a hope for the next four years (and beyond) to come.

Come Gather 'Round People - Come Writers & Critics - Come Senators/Congressmen - Come Mothers & Fathers - For The Times They Are A-Changin'.

EXAMPLE:
Come senators, congressmen - Please heed the call - Don't stand in the doorway - Don't block up the hall - For he that gets hurt - Will be he who has stalled - The battle outside ragin' - Will soon shake your windows - And rattle your walls - For the times they are a-changin' ... Bring on the 47th POTUS.

"The Times They Are A-Changin'" Bob Dylan - October 24, 1963

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who that it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
The battle outside ragin'
Will soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin'
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin'
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'

A Complete Unknown - IMDB 7.8/10 - Rated R - 2hr. 21min.

Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan nails it. Not only does he sound like Dylan when he’s singing, he somehow captures the newness of these moments. When he plays “The Times They Are A-Changin’” for the first time in a great scene, it’s a song that a lot of people in the movie audience know by heart. Still, Chalamet and the production somehow convey the immediacy of that moment at Newport when these people are hearing a masterpiece for the first time. It gives the film an electricity that biopics almost always lack, feeling urgent instead of merely like a jukebox that’s been played a hundred times.

See Times Change
The movie was released the day before Christmas and, to be honest, is a Christmas present that can still deliver in "theaters only" today - January 15, 2025, just five days before changin' times that will prove to be better, much better, with leadership that actually respects just who elected them into office and signs their paychecks.

Come Gather 'Round People - Come Writers & Critics - Come Senators/Congressmen - Come Mothers & Fathers - For The Times They Are A-Changin'.

Footnote: Cinematography captures the era through New York & East coast backgrounds filled with period automobiles/vehicles of the times (1961-1965) - a true motor culture feast for the eyes and ears - oh, to hear a British made Triumph Tiger 100SS motorcycle once again - lovely.

"Nobody Expected This to Happen in CALIFORNIA"... | Victor Davis Hanson"

SO ... how's that priority focus on DEI workin' out for ya'?

Complacency destroys and kills a well lived Human life.

"Nobody Expected This to Happen in CALIFORNIA"... | Victor Davis Hanson"

We, at MAXINE, have seen the degradation building for years - beginning with road diets and bike lanes, with the addition of encampments of bums and junkies (given the cute label of homeless)  under freeway overpasses.

Actually ... this is criminal, the level of abuse in the political decision-making and policy application found in California versus other natural disaster prone states.

These government service operations need to be prepared to deliver effective responses to the least common yet the most devastating set of natural frictions on Human living and communities. California does not ascribe to this central idea in the way it goes about using our tax monies.
