During the second POTUS debate, first with unelected nominee for the Democrat Political Party current 46th Administration's Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald J. Trump made some statements about immigration/migration/asylum policy of the HARRIS * BIDEN Administration centered on what has been reported out of Springfield, Ohio.

The statement went viral since it had a musical pentameter that originally matched up with the piano musical introduction from the cartoon Peanuts.

Soon, thereafter, the social media internet was simply filled with memes depicting humorous renditions based upon the theme, They're Eating The Dogs - They're Eating The Cats showing off the inventiveness of American culture humor, and the control freaks in our nation just can not stop it! So much fun.

One of the best creative musical manipulation examples was produced by a contributor that first showed their creative output on Facebook/META, The Kiffness.

Here is a catchy reggae music tinged version of this portion of the debate that we will title - "In Springfield: They're Eating The Dogs - They're Eating The Cats" - simply unforgettable.

What a man thinks, matters - what women think doesn't matter and your daughter just needs to get used to male genitalia! Your daughter needs to get used to male genitalia! That's not what we are saying, that's the Charlotte Observer and it's Editorial Board ... that's couple years ago! [the Charlotte Observer opined] your daughter is a bigot your daughter is evil for not accepting, and wanting, and embracing male genitalia in the Locker Room ... she just needs to get used to it man!

I love this paper's "the world the Left has built" - don't you picture, could you imagine, if that was actually our opinions [on Red Eye Radio] and we promoted it on the show, could you imagine the feedback? Oh my God, if we said that - just reverse it - we're in a Bizarro World, and you and I are on the left, and be the Antimatter world - that we're in the Antimatter world.

Can you imagine of Trump said this at the start - if Trump went through 2016 promoting that but saying it exactly how it would play up?

This is they call Joe Biden, a moderate Democrat, this is what today's moderate Democrat believes - if The Man Said So, you, the woman must abide by what the man says, even if it is not based in any science, or any type of rational critical thinking.

If the man says it, you, the woman, must submit your rights - and regardless of how long the battle to achieve those rights [over 100 years].

Democrats are working toward an intended consequence that amounts to a hijacking of our criminal justice systems that had worked very well at assuring safety for citizens and working families everywhere.

In city after city, the Democrats have passed laws and implemented policies that do not recognize theft, that eliminate cash bail and promises to appear, restrict the powers of policing, and empty our jails. District Attorneys do not prosecute cases at the level they once did to keep criminals in check in an effort to create more put-upon victims so that Democrats have a base of potential voters to groom for their own path to power.

The chaos we have been seeing grow in our communities isn't a side effect, it is the goal. Unchecked illegal immigration, Sanctuary City policies, non-enforcement of vagrancy laws through transference from policing to city staffed social worker agencies (who stay in their air-conditioned offices), COVID-19 mass releasing of guilty known criminals from prisons and jails before their sentences are fully served (when Shelter-At-Home and Masks are required through governmental edict for everyday law abiding citizens), road and street "diets" imposed without a vote from citizens by city bureaucrats which impede and slow the pursuits of happiness and commerce on once major boulevard arteries, all intended to create a less than best practices impaired society Democrat political leaders can run on.

To be clear, Patrick Lynch, President of NYPD’s Police Benevolent Association, stated it best in his presentation during the final day of the Republican National Convention - “Democratic politicians have surrendered our streets and our institutions. I have been a New York City police officer for 36 years…I’ve never seen our streets go this bad so quickly.”

“Unlike the Democrats, who froze in the face of rioting and looting, President Trump matches his words with his actions,” Mr. Lynch said. “He gives law enforcement the support and the tools we need to go out there and put a stop to it - period, end of story.”

We, at MAXINE, wish to get our America and American Culture back where people are safe, have a criminal justice system that works as intended (keeping convicted criminals housed and in check), and operates peacefully under the full rights as guaranteed by God, not decreed by Government, as laid out in our country's founding documents - where people/individuals have more power than Government ... in the end.

The short animated video by the husband-and-wife team of Juan Delcan & Valentina Izaguirre shows a row of matchsticks lined up like dominoes. A first match is ignited, and the flame begins to spread rapidly from one match to the next, spelling certain doom for the entire group—that is until one of the matches comes to life, stepping out of the line and out of range of the fire.

Breaking the chain stopps the blaze, much the way that social distancing will keep more people from catching COVID-19.

“Do your part and stay home,” wrote Juan Delcan on Twitter.

Sharing the piece in a post that has since been liked over 4,000 times and shared over 2,000 times—including by actress Olivia Wilde, who has herself amassed nearly 50,000 likes and over 18,000 Retweets for her post of Safety Match. On Instagram, the 12-second clip has been viewed more than half a million times with upwards of 84,000 likes.

“We knew people were going to watch it, but I don’t think we expected this global response,” said Izaguirre. “We’ve been up since 3 a.m. giving interviews!”

What’s been the most rewarding is the response from young people, she added. “We get messages that say ‘hey, this really helped me understand the situation.'”

The couple, who have been together ten years, met on the set of a commercial. Delcan was the director; Izaguirre, the wardrobe stylist. “We started making art and collaborating basically on day one,” she recalled.

The artists have been making matchstick artworks for about a year, with Izaguirre designing the sets while Declan does the animation in Cinema 4-D.

... include the whole of the Department Of Justice (DOJ) now that they just issued their Inspector General (IG) Report and it followed the exact template that then FBI Director presented nearly 2 years ago when he, Comey, went through the laundry list of law-breaking by Hillary Rodham Clinton (HRC) then ending with the conclusion that NO PROSECUTOR would take HRC to trial.

The DOJ IG Report went through nearly 500 pages of descriptions of Political BIAS, over-reaches in power, deviance of FBI procedure, and unequal justice - then ending with the concluding ruling that NO Provable Political BIAS existed in the illegal HRC private email server investigation.

These people distort process in order to pursue their collective progressive political ego and personality. Ego and emotion rules the day as these bureaucracies pile Bias upon Bias in order to undo the fair election of a 45th President that is anybody but Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The FBI was rigging an election for President of the United States on behalf of one political party over the other.

We, at MAXINE, see Bias upon Bias along with Fix upon Fix "being placed in" to insure a Clinton Presidency using a two-tiered justice system where anybody but Hillary Clinton would be arrested for the countless felonies in the mishandling of classified information on her illegal private email server.

Happy Easter - Where An Emoji Meme Gets A Rite-Of-Spring Makeover

YES! It was a peg wall full of hang tag packaging Pile Of Poo 3-D emojis marked as FILLABLE EGGS in an assortment of Easter Egg colors (thank the stars none were brown).

Seasons and celebrations come and go throughout our lives. The ebb and flow of our family and social experiences allow us to have a life filled with the excitement of anticipation.

On a recent trip to a local 99 Cents Only Stores, the seasonal aisles, which were previously filled with the red and green colors of the Christmas season, sported the rich red of Valentines Day cards and decorations as well the beginnings of the muted pinks, blues, purples, greens and yellows of Easter.

Once confronted with these displays one is drawn to the typical fare such as cards, centerpieces, and candy gift enclosures of the season ... like eggs, fillable eggs.

Being early into the Easter season, heck, Fat Tuesday hasn't even taken place, the selection was not as robust as one might anticipate.

One hang tag packaging section was quite attention getting, in that, it featured something that was, at once, current in shape, but just a bit odd. This is not an everyday egg!

Lest one think this might be inappropriate messaging for outside of the common Social Media platforms where we all may be exposed to this kind of light-hearted coarseness, consider that Apple Corporation has recently been airing a commercial in heavy rotation using a song by SOFI TUKKER titled Best Friend (click link) that features, momentarily, this same Pile Of Poo emoji.

One can almost imagine the discussions in the product planning boardrooms ... in China. Can anyone sense the disconnect here?

Then now, after the decision had been made to develop a product to be sold during the Easter celebration season in the West, the order goes down to the modeling department to create a mold that would be the right size, to be split in half, so that a parent, grandparent, friend would be able to insert an inclusion, a candy or other small object, for gifting purposes.

What goes on in the mind of a person with the engineering degree/training and crafts background to create such a thing so it would become ... a THING?

Meeting after meeting, where the tests prove that this is now a product, until the next step where the other decisions have been made on differentiation, such as color(s), screened graphic faces, packaging considerations are applied.

Small groups of graphic designers come up with an assortment of face configurations. Each by each are approved and moved forward into the production process.

Faces include a surprise "Oh!" expression, a laughing expression with drool coming out of one side, a glasses festooned face with a tooth style grin similar to a Bugs Bunny (apologies to Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Mel Blanc) graphic, each coming to being approved and moved forward.

Through all of the process of preparing the product for sale and ... profit. The culture continues to shape the environment socially and politically.

Here in America, we have been confronted just this past week with an account of communication and expression found in our political discourse that boiled down to just one word ... s***hole. This word, similar in meaning to fecal-cavity, was picked up and used during the course of one full day of broadcasting by a cable news service about 195 times.

The term was used to describe countries that clearly operated politically and culturally with a complete lack of standards in cleanliness, building codes and aspiration to become operating at a higher level of standard through individual, family, and political governance conviction.

The Art & Science Of Design As Seen By Frank Stephenson

Frank Stephenson talks about the influences of both art and science in car design, and design in general; he touches upon how these two elements have shaped his work throughout his illustrious career. Frank goes on to share his anticipations for the future of design.

Frank Stephenson is one of the world's most renowned and influential car designers today. He was born in Casablanca, Morocco. After growing up there, in Turkey and in Spain, he became a professional motocross racer, before moving to California to study automotive design. 

Frank began his professional design career in 1986 with Ford Motor Company and designed the iconic Ford Escort RS Cosworth, moving later to BMW Group where he designed the first BMW X5 and the award-winning New MINI. 

His next move was to Ferrari and Maserati, as their first ever Design Director. There he designed many supercars, including the Ferrari F430, the Ferrari FXX Super Enzo, the Maserati MC12 Stradale and the Maserati GranSport. 

He was then placed as Design Director for Fiat, Lancia and Alfa Romeo, where he was responsible also for the design of the new Fiat 500. 

Frank joined McLaren Automotive in 2008, creating a vanguard design studio and design team, and establishing a new and distinctive design language.

“Experience Amazing” is the new tag line for Lexus. The journalists on this media trip certainly did have an amazing experience from the exotic setting of volcanic Kona to the overall performance and striking design of the 2018 Lexus LC 500 and 500h coupes.

Toyota Motor Company committed one billion dollars over a five year development period to launch these Grand Touring Coupes to compete in the Prestige/Luxury Sector of $100,000 cars. The new models arrive in May at a rate of 400 units per month. The low production will add to the exclusiveness prestige clients and early adopters seek. Pricing for the LC 500 will start at $92,000 the LC 500h starts at $96,510.

This project started at the top with president Akido Toyoda. Mr Toyoda changed the culture of Lexus cars from highly reliable generic looking luxury cars to cars with a distinct style and spirited performance. The new models that create powerful emotions from their driver or bystanders.  Mr. Toyoda is also Chief Brand Officer and one of the Lexus Master Drivers, so he is well equipped to inspire as he has with these flagship models.

The LC coupes are not intended to directly compete with Lamborghini and Ferrari, since these are primarily weekend cars. The target is Mercedes SL, Jaguar F-type and BMW 650, cars that are usable as daily drivers while highly capable as  international touring vehicles. The LC 500 coupes keep the romance of crossing Europe safely at high speed and comfort a practical reality. Note that the LC 500h is particularly fuel efficient for a high performance car, given its EPA rating of 26 city / 35 highway / 30 combined. The V8 version is  EPA rated at 16 /26 /19.

Thees coupes have an entirely new platform designated as GA-L (Global Architecture - Luxury). The design goals that were met are a low center of gravity for improve handling and a chassis stiffness that exceeds even the half million dollar Lexus LFA supercar. During the day long drive roll and lean were never an issue in tight corners. The LC 500 feels as light on its feet as a wide receiver making down field cuts. Co-drivers gave this set up high marks
for comfort and handling.

I had the opportunity to drive and compare both the 471 horsepower V8 and the 345 horsepower Multi Stage Hybrid V6 with twin electric motors. Both versions have their own personality with only  three-tenths of second  performance variance from 0-60 mph in favor of the V8. The 5.0-liter V8 has DOHC, 32 valves with variable value timing and 398 lb-ft. of torque at 4,800 rpm.Red line is 7,100 rpm and peak torque in held from 4,800 to 5,600 rpm.

The acceleration from a stop is to sixty is a mere 4.4 seconds. Top speed is limited electronically to 168 mph. The V8 weights in at 4,280 lbs. The island’s roads while fine for testing on road handing don’t provide many opportunities for high speed, but that was not essential to get the true spirit of how most owners will enjoy their cars. I found two-lane passing effortless and happening as fast as you can plant your right foot down and snap the paddle shifters.

The transmission is a 10-speed Sport Direct Shift with paddle shifter and manual mode.  This multi cam V8 is  exhilarating at any speed without flat spots in its power curve. The 10-speed transmission efficiency wastes none of this power by with its rapid change and seeming endless gearing.

However, the rush that impressed me was the sound and feel of dropping fours gears at ninety. It’s a sound I have only heard on the track when Formula 1 or  Indy Cars or are downshifting. I always thought I really don’t need more than five gears as long as one is an overdrive. This Sport Direct Shift 10-speed changed my mind, not only for the fast times and fuel efficiency but
for the sheer fun of it.

Power in the 500h is derived from an Atkinson-cycle 3.5-liter gas V6 with direct fuel injection, variable value timing and red lining at 6,600-rpm. This engine accounts for 220 kW / 295 HP and torque of 348 Nm / 256.7 lb.-ft @ 4,900 rpm. The MSHS allows the LC 500h to operate the gas engine off at speeds up to 87 mph. Emission certification is LEV lll SULEV30.

The hybrid system includes twin permanent magnet synchronous motor generators. MG1’s function is primary generator, engine starter and control of engine speed. MG2 drives the rear wheels and handles regenerative braking. The compact battery is Lithium-icon made up of 84 cells and is located between the rear seats and luggage compartment. The nominal voltage is 310.8V and the system voltage is 650V. The total systems power is 264 kW / 354 HP. The manufacture times are 0-60 mph in 4.7 seconds, outstanding for a car that weighs 4,435 lbs. Lexus says this is their first hybrid that can spin its tires.

Bill Kwong of Lexus College explained the Lexus Hybrid Synergy Drive as keeping the planetary-type continuously variable transmission and adding a unique four-speed transmission. Working in concert,the two gears alter output in four stages to utilize the V6 engine across the entire speed range. In M mode, the two gear sets act together to provide the effect of 10 ratios, giving the LC 500h a highly engaging feel and allowing the driver to shift thought the ratios with paddle shifters.

Top speed in the hybrid is electronically limited to155 mph, another indication that this model is not trying to be a track day star. Instead this is a 2+2 is designed for safe touring in comfort at speed. These coupes are front midship engine layouts with rear-wheel drive.

I inquired about the possibility of all-wheel drive. No AWD is planned at this time and in the case of the 500h there in not the space to accommodate the hardware. Given the effectiveness of the suspension that includes double ball joint front suspension AWD should not be draw back. The turning circle curb to curb is a tight 17.7 ft and with the optional Active Rear Steering a mere 17.4 ft.

The spindle grill gives the LC 500 coupes a distinctive recognizable look and is the brands signature design feature. Lexus designed a unique mesh texture that changes visual tension as it spreads across the front of the car.

Adding to the sleek look of the front end are ultra compact triple LED headlamps with functional venting.The venting adds aerodynamic stability and cooling.

The chrome plated moldings on the edge of the roof are meant to represent the lines of a traditional Japanese sword. Even the rear tail lights have a design element to them not previously seen. The tail lights use mirrors to create a three dimensional series of L-shaped graphics.

The standard wheels are 20” cast aluminum with run flats Fr. 245/45RF20. and Rr. 275/40RF20. There optional forged aluminum 20” Fr. 245/45RF/20 and Rr. 275/45/20 and 21”Fr. 245/45RF20 and Rr. 275/35RF21. The front brakes have 6-piston calipers and the rear have 4-piston calipers.

The interior appointments of the monotone interior are exquisite with switches that are intuitive requiring little movement to reach.  An 8” LCD display with Eco driving indicator is set low in the cockpit in keeping with the low center of gravity objective. The door handles are sculptures in satin chrome. Alcantara door panels have a wave effect artistically complimenting the lines of the dash. All of the interior stitching is done by hand and is so precise
it’s hard to tell.

Thankfully Lexus designers have retained an upright gearshift lever rather than a ‘pop up dial shifter’. A 10.3 inch multi-information display combines graphic user interface with upgradeable software along with latest remote touch interface touchpad.

The instrument binnacle is unique in its singular design and look. It is the lasted version of thin film transistor display tech, first introduced on the LFA supercar. Front seats are 10-way power in leather, rear seats are Nu Luxe.

Traditional it is not, the LC 500 may be setting the new contemporary look for functionality.  It is understandable why the LC 500 was selected as “Best Design Interior”.

The test LC 500h came equipped with the optional Mark Levinson 835 watt, 7.1 channel,13-speaker system  tailored to the LC interior and will attract audiophiles seeking a reference quality setup. This system includes Claire-Fi music restoration tech that enhances playback by analyzing and improving the sound quality of compressed digitized music.

Also, there are Sport, Performance and Touring Packages to further personalize the LC5 500h. As expected in this level of automobile all the latest safety systems are standard and include pre-collision with pedestrian detection, all-speed radar cruise control, lane departure with steering assist, sway warning and intelligent high beam system.

Lexus already has ‘reliable’,’trusted’ and ‘practical' in their consumer confidence deck, now they are adding the emotional appeal of ‘high style design' to their hand of cards. For some the trump card may be the offering of a hybrid model with unrivaled fuel efficiency for its sector; the figures are worth repeating 26 city / 35 highway / 30 combined.
