Caliphate vs Caliphate - What The Charlie Hebdo Massacre Exposes

The world is run by ideas and the people/forces that back them. Throughout time, the human effort of governance has always been held by ideas backed through force.

Most of the noise that consumes the information airways since 12 people who were involved with producing the cartoon based opinion publication "Charlie Hebdo" in Paris, France were murdered in an effort to silence their opinion that religion, any religion, and religious ideas that govern human behavior and social roles are not serious and a source for humor.

The Muslim religion, and its enforcers (informed through Sharia Law) are busy at the business of shutting down all parts of organized humanity, that do not agree with their view on how humanity should be governed, in order to set up their own structure of governance that is not based in geographically defined countries - a Muslim Caliphate.

Their most recent target in the Western world was aimed at one of the human freedoms modern society agrees is most important ... the freedom of speech.

Once one peels back the layers of commentary, however, this freedom is not as important to many of those this attack was aimed at, which is the current political leadership force that has formed over putting forward a non-religion/secular based human governance and control over activity - a Progressive Caliphate.

On this side of the struggle, Progressives are choosing not to look at these terrorist murderous acts in France as a war against their governance but more as a small outlier of activity performed by, as one news/opinion broadcaster (Christiane Amanpour) put it, "activists."

Many secular reporters are suggesting that if only Charlie Hebdo placed curbs on its freedom of expressing its secular opinion, these bloody murderous acts of killing 12 people, because the image Muhammad (the leader, through his teachings, of the Muslim religion) was defamed through published cartooning, would not have taken place.

Due to the lack of seriousness of religion and its effects on the formation of culture and governance, the Progressives who govern France have allowed a flood of immigration without an insistence on integration to the existing culture. What France now sees are a series of over 750 "NO GO ZONES" where the people who choose to live in these zones are governed through the Muslim based Sharia Law. If a fire, or murder, or other acts of potential criminal and/or damaging human activity to other humans happens, French first responders are never dispatched and control in these areas is abdicated to the current Muslim Caliphate that resides there.

This type of Muslim governance takeover is not just happening in France. The rest of Europe is at risk with this same set up of takeover through population concentration through immigration and non-insistence of cultural integration. A clash of civilizations.

Europe is not the only group of countries at risk because the Progressive political leadership structures in Canada and United States are open to these same tactics.  Open borders policies aided by government welfare, health benefits, and legal driver's licenses to non-documented/illegal aliens are nothing new to our combined Progressive political landscapes.

At what point in time does having the ability to have a private life cease to be viable in a Bill-Of-Rights, Rule-Of-Law, Constitutionally protected society?

The answer can be found when a Government becomes so big and fearful of its citizens that it violates the trust between the institutions of Government and the citizens these institutions were established to serve on behalf of the citizens.

Yesterday, a United Kingdom news service, The Daily Guardian, issued a second in a series of information articles about the United States Government’s information gathering programs run by the National Security Agency and other government institutions under the mission of curbing terrorism.

The first information based article highlighted that Verizon was turning over, wholesale, all phone call information it had on its hundreds of millions calls per day, to the NSA for the Government to use however it saw fit to use. The information included phone numbers, time of call, location of both phones on the call, duration, an other key digital data that was associated with the call in a practice that has been termed by some as a DRAGNET.

The information in the second article in as many days from the UK’s Guardian (where are the American news services on this exposure and investigation of this information?) highlights that this Democrat Political Party led Government was also collecting EVERY KEYSTROKE a person types on the internet in order to communicate the who, what, when, where, and why they are.

The participation of the internet companies in PRISM will add to the debate, ignited by the Verizon revelation, about the scale of surveillance by the intelligence services. Unlike the collection of those call records, this surveillance can include the content of communications and not just the metadata.

Some of the world’s largest internet brands are claimed to be part of the information-sharing program since its introduction in 2007. Microsoft – which is currently running an advertising campaign with the slogan “Your privacy is our priority” – was the first, with collection beginning in December 2007.

It was followed by Yahoo in 2008; Google, Facebook and PalTalk in 2009; YouTube in 2010; Skype and AOL in 2011; and finally Apple, which joined the program in 2012. The program is continuing to expand, with other providers due to come online.

Collectively, the companies cover the vast majority of online email, search, video and communications networks.

Those of us who appreciate our God granted (not "strong man" or government granted) freedoms protected through the Constitution of the United States and the Bill Of Rights, now have another day on which we can express our gratefulness.

Gun Appreciation Day is happening for the very first time this year, and it’s a direct response to recent national conversations about gun control following a year of high-profile mass murders. 

It happens at a time when many feel that this is not a government for and by the people but a government that has de-evolved into a "ruling class" versus those who are bought off by the ruling class in the face of a Constitution and Bill of Rights that are there to protect against these type of manipulations. It happens at a time where this government has not operated the country on a budget (an unconstitutional act without legal consequence) for 3 years and 8 months. Last night, a tea party organization that spawned from last year's reaction to the incredible spending legislation, marked by the Stimulus and Omnibus bills passed by the Democrat Political Party led Congress, held its 2010 kick off organization meeting to take back the 29th Congressional district. More importantly, the meeting was the first of many to help people of all political strips who wish to maintain their freedoms in the face of an unparalleled expansion of centralized governmental power.

Much has been made about the Tea Party movement ever since it showed itself as a real and growing, grass roots political phenomenon starting first on tax day, April 15, 2009, when nearly two million people gathered in front of city halls and federal buildings around the country. Even though little was reported about the impromptu gatherings in the Main Stream Media (MSM), the New Media web portals like Examiner, NowPublic, Pajamas Media, and a host of nationally recognized blog sites posted expose's on the events around the country.

Last summer, the tea party movement began to pick up steam, literally, when people from political points of view and affiliation ranging from conservative, to moderate, to independent, to Democrat, to Libertarian, to Republican wanted to have a voice in the workings of our Government when, at Town Hall meetings with their direct representatives ... began to ask questions. They found out that they did not like what they were hearing and/or how their point of view was being represented by their elected official. Many elected officials did not hold summer break town hall meetings because they did not want to hear what the people, who they were elected to represent, had to say about their governance.

Last night, the Pasadena Patriots placed their standard into the ground seeking to reclaim the right to ... as the Constitution states - "To form a more perfect union".

Constitutionality IS what this is all about. To maintain the ability to be treated as equal in a country of equals in terms of opportunity.

Yesterday, a prime example of how far the leadership of our country is working against the Constitution in the governance of our country happened when the Obama Administration saw fit to EXEMPT labor unions from the proposed 40% tax to be levied on Health Care Insurance plans that cover a broader range of health care procedures than the level of care that this Government is planning to set as the standard of ALL care offered in this country ... in the name of Health Care Reform.

Many believe that this exemption exceptional, along with the Government's intention to levy fines and jail time for all citizens who do not purchase the authorized Health Care Insurance plans that become available for sale once the health care reform legislation becomes law.

It's time we all stop pretending that what is happening with this Obamacare debate is about "helping the uninsured" or "fixing the healthcare system" or "giving the people what they want." It's about none of those things. Its about amassing as much power in a central government as humanly possible. Its about wealth redistribution. It's social engineering at its absolute worst.

The American people must take this political system back from those who have hijacked it in one of the most abhorrent power grabs that we the voters have ever seen. It's the holiday season so the Democrats are counting on you to be otherwise occupied and too busy to stand against their massive expansion of government.

Let them underestimate us again just as they did last summer. Let these unrepresentative politicians proceed with their legislative chicanery and self-righteous grandstanding. We can expose them and confront them in the classic American spirit--a public gathering on their doorstep.

On December 15th at 1 pm, we will remind Pelosi, Reid, Schumer et al. that they work for us and not the other way around. We will demand that they follow the will of the people, not dismiss and degrade it by putting future generations into a deficit dungeon. We will put every politician who supports this travesty on notice: enjoy your remaining time in the U.S. Capitol because we're coming for your seat.

An article in the Fijian news outlet Fiji Live ponders whither the overthrow Government formed through the latest coup headed by Commodore Frank Bainimarama will stand up to a legal challenge in the Fiji court system … or will the military change the constitution.

We at MAXINE could not believe what we were reading!

Look, we all like an intellectual exercise but the discussion initiated by the leading academic in Fiji just seems a little, well, Clueless!

Any Government that is established through a coup can not be legitimate … so why is the issue even a process open to an exploration in a court system that only exists at the behest of Commodore Frank's marauding party.

Of course, Commodore Frank will “SHAPE” the previous constitution to meet the needs of HIS idea of what Fiji should be and THAT would be the point of the military takeover in the first place.

We really are beginning to wonder about Fiji … does the island nation want to remain Coup-less or Clueless?

Fiji's interim regime may decide to abrogate Fiji's Constitution to get itself out problematic situations, says leading Fiji academic Dr Brij Lal.

A series of lawsuits are already being processed by Fiji Courts on the legality of the December 5 coup. Leading this is the litigation by deposed Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase and members of his ousted government.

Lal said the regime's "real challenge will come when the legality of the military overthrow is tested before the courts in the months ahead".

"Those challenges will take place within the provisions of the 1997 constitution, the very constitution the military claims to be withholding," he said.

"What happens if the courts decide against the military is anyone's guess. But by proclaiming that the 1997 constitution is still alive and well and functioning complicates the military's position.

"Of course the military may decide that the best way forward for it is to abrogate the constitution."

Lal said then some of the leading members of the regime "who had a hand in fashioning the 1997 constitution will have to explain why they are now advocating its abrogation".

"Fiji has been in a constitutional conundrum for the last six months," he said.

"A coup took place, but the constitution remained intact. It was claimed to be a 'constitutional coup but there is no such thing as a 'constitutional coup.

"No democratic constitution provides for its own overthrow by a military coup."

Lal said some of the changes the military wants to introduce are good, "such as removing racial voting, but they have to be introduced in the proper way".

"What people have to realise is that constitution making in the modern world is a comparative exercise," he said.

"It cannot be done in isolation.

The regime justified its "clean-up campaign" resulting in the termination of members of the civil service, government heads and government statutory bodies through a mandate given by the President Ratu Josefa Iloilo post December 2006.

"But in the Westminster system, the President acts on the advice of the elected government," Lal said.

"The mandate that the interim administration is claiming is so wide ranging, so sweeping, that it will take years to accomplish."

Lal said it gives "an entirely new meaning to the word 'interim.'"

When asked to comment on whether the abrogation of the constitution could be employed by the interim administration, Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said, "the interim administration does not respond to speculation".

"We are guided by a mandate given to us by the president," he said.

"One of the clauses in that mandate is to uphold the constitution."

The last time Fiji's Constitution was abrogated was on May 30 2000 by military commander Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama who appointed Qarase as interim Prime Minister five days later.

A High Court verdict in November 2000 and a subsequent Fiji Court of Appeal decision in March 2001 declared that the 1997 Constitution was not abrogated by Bainimarama and remained intact.

In the last week, The Commodore dispatches the Council of Chiefs because they felt that they had the right to voice their opinion as to whom the second in command should, or should not be. The Commodore did not like the fact that their opinion would be different than his … but isn’t this the reason why Frank felt he had the right to take charge of a democratically elected Government in the first place? Fiji Anti-Corruption Body Given `Draconian' Powers, Lawyer Says

A body set up by Fiji's caretaker government to investigate corruption has powers of arrest and interrogation that break the law and constitution, a spokeswoman for the country's law society said.

The Independent Commission Against Corruption is empowered to issue its own arrest and search warrants and seize people suspected of living beyond their means. Those charged will be considered guilty until they prove themselves innocent.

``It's sinister, the fact they have all these powers which appear to be Draconian,'' Tupou Draunidalo, vice president of the Fiji Law Society said in a telephone interview from the capital, Suva, on April 19. ``It's so fundamental, that you're innocent until proven guilty in this country.''

The decree establishing the commission, approved by the president of the Pacific island nation several weeks ago, was published April 18, President Ratu Josefa Iloilo's spokesman Rupeni Nacewa said last week from Suva. Army chief Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama promised to ``clean up'' Fiji after he overthrew the government of Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase in December, accusing it of corruption.

Iloilo was re-appointed president in January after being deposed in the Dec. 5 coup, the country's fourth takeover in 19 years. Bainimarama became interim prime minister a month after the takeover and said elections may not be held until 2010.

The commission will be made up of a chief investigator assisted by about eight corruption investigators.

Common Law

The power given to the panel ``appears to break various sections of the constitution and common law,'' Draunidalo said.

Fiji's legal system is based on British common law, which enshrines the right to be regarded as innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.

The interim government is justifying the sweeping powers through the doctrine of necessity, she said. Fiji's constitution allows for decrees to be made by the president if the country is so unstable that parliament can't meet.

``There's no reason the parliament can't meet,'' Draunidalo said. ``The military just won't let it happen.''

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, Fiji's interim attorney-general said the new commission was based on Hong Kong's anti-corruption body.

The penalties for engaging in bribery have been stiffened, Sayed-Khaiyum said, with the sentence increased from the current six to nine months to 10 to 15 years under a prevention of bribery promulgation enacted last week.

Holding Elections

Fiji is considering holding elections some time in the next 36 months, following a meeting between European Union and Fijian government officials last week in Brussels, Sayed-Khaiyum said.

In an April 20 statement, the EU called on Fiji to hold a poll within two years and to lift in May a state of emergency in place since the coup. In return, the EU said it expects ``to avoid the loss of development cooperation'' that provides aid to the Fijian sugar industry, the statement said.

The 27-nation body threatened to cut all ties with Fiji following the coup, and scrap a $422 million aid package. Fiji's sugar industry, which employs 45,000 people, would collapse if the aid was withdrawn, the Sugar and General Workers' Union said shortly after the coup.
